Julia Berke
Julia Berke was born in St-Germain-En-Laye (France) in 1975 and grew up in Wuppertal. She trained as an actor at the Otto Falckenberg Schule in Munich from 1996 to 2000 and was already involved in productions at Münchner Kammerspiele during this period. Following stints at Theater Bonn and the World Exhibition Expo 2000 in Hannover, she joined the company of Schauspiel Leipzig in 2001, where she stayed until 2008. For her performance in Neil LaBute’s “bash”, directed by Enrico Lübbe, she was nominated as emerging actor of the year by the expert journal Theater heute. From 2008 to 2013, Julia Berke was a member of the acting company at Theater Chemnitz.
She joined the company of Schauspiel Leipzig once more in August 2013.
