Denis Grafe
Denis Grafe was born in Bad Urach in 1992. After school, he joined Theater Total in Bochum from 2012 to 2013. He studied Acting at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and Bochum from 2014. As a student, he performed in productions including “Viel Lärm um nichts (Much Ado about Nothing)” at the international Shakespeare Festival in Essen. The production, directed by Simina German, was presented in Ramallah, Palestine, as part of an exchange programme with the Ramallah Drama Academy.
His first professional engagement took him to the ETA Hoffmann Theater in Bamberg from 2018 to 2020, where he worked with directors including Sebastian Schug, Sibylle Broll-Pape, Frank Behnke, Elsa-Sophie Jach and Alexander Ritter.
Denis Grafe joins Schauspiel Leipzig from the beginning of the 2020/21 season.
