Markus Lerch

Markus Lerch was born in Bad Hersfeld in 1976 and studied acting at Schauspielschule Bochum. Following his graduation, he worked as guest actor at Schauspielhaus Bochum, Bühnen der Stadt Wuppertal and Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. There, Markus Lerch was a cast member of the world premiere of Andres Veiel’s play “Der Kick” as well as the much-noticed documentary film of the same title. From 2005 to 2008, he worked at Staatstheater Braunschweig and he joined Schauspiel Stuttgart in the spring of 2008, where he stayed until the summer of 2013 and worked with directors like Thomas Krupa, Alexander Wang, Hasko Weber, Michael Thalheimer, Nina Mattenklotz, Mareike Mikat, Thomas Dannemann and Volker Lösch.

Markus Lerch has been a company member of Schauspiel Leipzig since August 2013.
