TANZFORUM

Over 4 days, the TANZFORUM festival hosts over 25 hours workshops, performances, public talks and open-floor evenings with guest DJs.

While the workshops enable a physical immersion in a movement language, the evening events emphasise performative works and create moments of exchange that offer the audience a deeper insight into the world of the artists.

As part of the festival, 6 local, regional and international artists offer a journey of discovery into their working methods: Through formats that are open to all, participants and visitors can experience those both by watching and participating.

These interactive formats and the meeting of different artistic perspectives stimulate exchange between the audiences and invite participants and visitors to rediscover dance and performance from a new angle.

With a focus on interdisciplinarity and a programme based on participatory formats, the festival creates an alternative approach to dance and performance art.

For professional dancers and dance makers, the festival provides a platform for experimentation, networking and professionalisation. It creates the opportunity to come into direct contact with the invited artists, to engage with contemporary approaches to choreography and performance and to expand their local and international network.
