Hubert Wild

Director Hubert Wild is an artist with an astonishing range. He studied singing with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau as well as violin and piano. He won awards at the International Competition for Opera Singers “Toti dal Monte” in Treviso/Italy and at the chamber opera of Schloss Rheinsberg as well as at the 13th International Robert-Schumann-Competition in Zwickau. He is equally at home in classical musical theatre as in free formats between drama, opera and performance. Not least his work with Susanne Kennedy and Herbert Fritsch has made him into an artist who works across all genres. At Schauspiel Leipzig, Hubert Wild has been musical director and performer in “Germans are different” and “Wolken.Heim”. “Lazarus” is his first work as a director in Leipzig.
