E. L. Karhu

E. L. Karhu is a playwright mostly based on a forest island in Helsinki, Finland. Her latest play “ERIOPIS — Medea’s survivor daughter tells all” had its world premiere at Schauspiel Leipzig in March 2020. Karhu studied playwriting and dramaturgy at the Theatre Academy of Helsinki and Hochschule für Schauspielkunst “Ernst Busch” in Berlin as well as social sciences at the University of Helsinki. Karhu’s play “PRINZESSIN HAMLET — a tragedy in comic format” had its German-language premiere at Schauspiel Leipzig in 2017 and was invited to several festivals.
