Simultaneous translation

Since 2022, Schauspiel Leipzig has been offering the respective Christmas play for Ukrainian children and their families with simultaneous translation into Ukrainian. The Ukrainian translation is spoken live via radio headphones. We are continuing this young tradition in the 2024/25 season with ‘Andersen's Fairy Tales’. From this season, we will also be offering ‘Andersen's Fairy Tales’ with simultaneous Arabic translation.

In addition, the family play ‘The Canterville Ghost’ will continue to be shown with simultaneous Ukrainian translation.

One day, the storyteller runs out of fairy tales. He doesn't know what to do next. In his search for a fairy tale, he meets the swamp lady who might be able to help him. The swamp lady shows him the way to the lost fairy tales. But this path is not easy: the storyteller has to overcome many trials and obstacles and meets amazing creatures who slowly open the door to the world of fantasy for him.

In Andersen's Fairy Tales, Stefan Beer and Georg Burger bring together many of the characters from the Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen in one story.

Одного дня у казкаря закінчуються казки. Він розгублений: що ж йому робити далі? У пошуках казки він натрапляє на Болотяницю, яка, можливо, зможе йому допомогти. Болотяниця показує йому дорогу до загублених казок. Але шлях цей нелегкий: казкарю доводиться пройти чимало випробувань та перешкод, зустріти дивовижних істот, які поволі відчиняють перед ним двері у світ фантазії.

У «Казках Андерсена» Штефан Беер та Ґеорґ Бурґер зібрали в одній історії багатьох героїв данського казкаря Ганса Крістіана Андерсена.

How does young Virginia fare after having to move into a Scottish castle in the middle of nowhere with her father and two annoying brothers? And what is the castle ghost Sir Simon doing now, who is actually responsible for scaring new flatmates to death, but is so afraid of children that he would prefer to spend the whole night in bed? Markus Bothe's ‘The Canterville Ghost’, based on a humorous ghost story by Oscar Wilde, presents answers and new mysterious puzzles to be solved.

У сезоні 2023/24 Лейпцизький драматичний театр (Schauspiel Leipzig) продовжує створювати програму для наших співгромадян з України та презентує цьогоріч сімейну виставу „Кентервільський привид“ із синхронним перекладом українською мовою.

Що чекає на юну Вірджинію в запустілому шотландському замку, куди їй доводиться переїхати разом із батьком та двома надокучливими братами? І чим тепер займається привид замку на ім’я сер Саймон, який зазвичай лякає до смерті нових мешканців, але так боїться дітей, що волів би тепер всю ніч не вилазити з ліжка? Відповіді на ці та інші питання, а також нові таємничі загадки чекають на вас у виставі Маркуса Боте "Кентервільський привид" за мотивами гумористичного оповідання-казки Оскара Вайльда.

One day, the storyteller runs out of fairy tales. He is helpless and doesn't know what to do next. On his research trip, he meets a swamp woman who might be able to help him. She reveals to him the path that leads to the lost fairy tales. But this path is not easy: he has to pass many tests and encounters strange beings who cross his path on his journey, beings who will slowly open the doors of his imagination.

In ‘Andersen's Fairy Tales’, Stefan Beer and Georg Berger combine several characters from the Danish fairy tale author Hans Christian Andersen into one story.

Schauspiel Leipzig will be showing this year's family play on 15 December at 3 pm, on 17 December at 11.30 pm and on 22 December at 6 pm with simultaneous Arabic subtitles.
