Accessibility

Schauspielhaus and Diskothek are accessible to wheelchair users.
You can find wheelchair-friendly seats on the seating chart of Große Bühne (Main Stage). At Diskothek, variable wheelchair-seats are available depending on the placement of the stage and seating.

Due to its particular spatial situation, our venue Residenz is unfortunately not freely accessible at this time. Please contact our Visitors’ Service staff on 0341 / 12 68 168 before visiting Residenz.

Due to construction issues, the lift only goes up to the level of the stalls and the circle foyer is not freely accessible. We ask for your understanding. Introductions to the play can be accessed as audio streams for smart phones throughout the building before the beginning of the performance.

The barrier-free access points to the Schauspielhaus have been extended to comprise a tactile guiding system for the visually impaired with attention strips, handrails as well as relief panels for the ground floor and the stalls floor. Guide dogs are welcome and you can choose whether you would like to take them into the auditorium to an aisle seat in the front rows or to leave them in the foyer, where the front of house staff will take care of them.

We are continually working to improve our accessibility.
