Magdalena Schrefel

After working abroad in Vukovar and Goteborg for longer periods of time, Magdalena Schrefel studied European Ethnology at Vienna University and Creative Writing at Deutsches Literaturinstitut Leipzig. She writes theatre and radio plays as well as novellas. Her play “Ein Berg, viele” was nominated for the 2019 Heidelberger Stückemarkt and won both the Kleist Advancement Award for Young Dramatists and the 3rd Else-Lasker-Schüler Drama Award in 2020. Teresa Hoerl (BR/ORF) is currently producing a radio version.
