Four Walls and a Roof

For “Four Walls and a Roof” the Berlin based Lebanese theatre makers Majdalanie and Mroué revisit Brecht's trial at the House Un-American Activities Committee from October 1947. On the backdrop of this event, they negotiate the experiences of international artists, intellectuals and writers who are caught between two camps today and who are just as censored and/or silenced in their countries of origin as they are in the countries that grant them protection.
