Anna Schimkat & Hauptmeier | Recker (Leipzig)

The audio piece “Pödelwitz” by Anna Schimkat tells from the history of a former coal mining place in the form of a composition of field recordings, found sounds and with self-constructed instruments and creates a digital-analog resonance space on a landscape in transition. With feedback loops between loudspeaker, microphone and computer, the composers duo Hauptmeier/Recker test the resistance of the sounds, which continue to transform and change.
